A belated Happy New Year 2007 to all naturists and those interested in naturism.
2007 is shaping up to be a year of crucial changes in my life, and some of those changes will be announced on this blog as time is fit.
First of all, let me tell you that the idea for a book about naturism in Chinese has gripped me so strongly that I intend to devote more time to it over the next few months. I have an outline and about 10 pages in Chinese ready. What needs to be done now is for me to sit down for many hours on end to flesh out the chapters and write continuous content, rather than just fill in ideas here and there.
And to be able to do that, I need to create more time, and to have more time, I need to do less of the things I'm doing now. I want to shove the boring and annoying things in my life aside, and let the creative take over.
Still, the book on naturism is all of my life. I am working on other projects, such as a thriller, a piece of fan fiction for the Internet, and a board game. None of those are related to naturism, but then very few people in the world are 100 percent naturists. Naturism is an attitude, a group of ideas, a way of life, but you still need other activities outside. Some of them can be naturist - I can write a book at home in the nude, and once it gets warmer, I certainly will - but others can't.
Other work that needs to be done if I want to get my book published in relatively conservative Taiwan, is finding a publisher that wants to take it on as a project. I don't think that should be too much of a problem. First of all, naturism is a new and largely unknown subject that no books have been published about in the Chinese language, so mine will be a first and an exclusive, and that's always something a publisher will like. Secondly, I don't intend to make it a picture book. Maybe, depending on the publisher's tastes, it'll have some general pictures of nude people photographed from the back, but certainly no frontal nudes, which would not get the book published, or would get it banned if someone were still to publish it. My idea is to use stock photos of naturists in Taiwan that have appeared in the Taiwanese press, as I have reported before on this blog. The publisher can buy the pictures from the local newspapers, and in this way there would be no problem with Taiwan's far-too-rigid laws on publishing decent naturist nudes.
But that's all for the future, I'll keep you posted on my plans and my experiences as I proceed. But right now, I've got to get back to my book!
